Does anybody feel as though they haven't advanced much in their career? In fact, I feel as though I'm going backwards and it's causing me immense dissatisfaction. I kind of know what the reasons are but at the same time, I'm not entirely sure. I have rarely had feedback and suffered a crisis of confidence a few years back that prevents me from reaching too far. If I fail again, it's proof that I'm just not that good at the job.
Having said all that, I think the source problem could be that I'm just ultimately not hugely interested in the job. This certainly gives me pause too and worries me. However, I'm paid well. I'd love to wrap up the whole 'corporate' type career thing altogether and do something completely different.
